Look at yourself in the mirror with your shoulders straight and your hands on your hips.

  • Are they the usual size, shape, and color?
  • Is there any uneven, distortion, or swelling Repeat this step with arms raised.

Step 2

Evaluate while lying down

Evaluate while laying down

Using your right hand feel your left breast and then your left hand to feel your right breast. Use a firm touch with the first few fingers of your hand keeping the fingers flat and together.

  • Cover the entire breast from top to bottom
  • Are they the usual size, shape, and color?
  • Is there any uneven, distortion, or swelling

    Repeat this step with arms raised.

You may find it easier to feel your breasts when your skin is wet. After lathering with soap in the shower, use the same hand movements described in Step 2.
